AgeVenture News Service 11-26-04

Bolongo Bay Resort USVI Bolongo Bay Beach Club in St. Thomas is offering a great opportunity for people who want to celebrate their “golden years” -- the Golden Rewards Program, which provides a minimum of 15 percent savings off room rates for guests 50 years of age and older. The discount is valid for the resort’s semi-inclusive Continental Plan (CP) and All-Inclusive option.

To qualify for Bolongo’s Golden Rewards Program, vacationers must book a minimum five-night stay on either plan and show proof of age upon check-in (such as a driver’s license or passport; 50 years of age or older). The Golden Rewards Program cannot be combined with any other offers. Only one person per room needs to meet the age requirements for the discount to apply.

To book the Golden Rewards Program, please call Bolongo’s on-island reservation number at 1-800-524-4746 and mention the program’s name.

Bolongo’s CP option includes beach front accommodations; Continental Breakfast buffet; complimentary use of non-motorized watersports (snorkel gear, paddle boats, sunfish sailboats, windsurfishing equipment, kayaks and much more) with instruction; a “discover scuba diving” in-pool lesson; use of basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, plus equipment; and nightly entertainment.

Nightly rack rates for the CP option are $195 per room, valid Nov. 1 – Dec. 22, 2004. Rates quoted do not include the 15 percent discount, are based on double occupancy and do not include eight percent hotel tax and seven percent service charge.

The All-Inclusive option encompasses all of the features of the CP option PLUS all meals (seven days a week of a la carte dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner at two of the most popular restaurants on St. Thomas); a wide array of beverages including all premium brands; and hotel taxes and gratuities.

Nightly All-Inclusive rates are $400 per room, valid Nov. 1 – Dec. 22, 2004. Rates do not include the 15 percent discount and are based on double occupancy.

As an added bonus, guests who book seven nights on the CP or All-Inclusive plans receive two complimentary passes (one per person, based on double occupancy) for an all-day sail and beach outing to St. John aboard “Heavenly Days,” the resort’s 53-foot catamaran, with lunch and open bar (valued at $100 per person). Additional tickets can be purchased for a discounted rate.

Guests staying a minimum of seven nights All-Inclusive also receive two complimentary tickets (one per person, based on double occupancy) for a romantic sunset cocktail cruise to historic Charlotte Amalie Harbor (valued at $45 per person). Additional tickets for the cruise can be purchased at a reduced rate.

Bolongo features 65 beach front rooms curved around crescent-shaped, palm-lined Bolongo Bay. Each room has a private balcony as well as many of the comforts of home including a mini-refrigerator, coffeemaker, ceiling fan, air-conditioning, color cable television, hair dryers, radio alarm clocks, iron and ironing board, safe and telephone.
