Parking Space Renders Miraculous Cures... film at 11
Dr. David J. Demko, gerontologist and editor

"IT'S A MIRACLE", I shouted in amazement. Hardly able to control the absolute ecstasy, the pure joy, the total elation of one who has been blessed with the rarest of opportunities, the witnessing of a miracle. I scarcely believed me eyes. Just two feet in front of me, miracles were occurring. Infirm bodies miraculously transformed into healthy, robust human beings.

No, I wasn't witnessing another alien invasion in Roswell, New Mexico ... nor was I swimming around the Fountain of Youth in St. Augustine, Florida. You see, it all happened right here in a South Florida Supermarket parking lot. At first I didn't believe my eyes. Fear-struck, I dashed away in my car, only to see it happen AGAIN, this time in the Shopping Center parking lot. Then AGAIN, this time at the Mall.

I was witnessing perfectly healthy people loading up their cars with all sorts of heavy packages, then driving away from a Handicapped Parking Space. Since only the infirm can legally, or ethically for that matter, park in a handicapped space, I readily surmised that feeble drivers, hoping for a reversal of fortune, were pulling into these handicapped parking spaces in search of an instant cure.

They must pull in, turn off the engine, and wait for the miracle. Then, sure enough, it happened. ZAP (that's the sound you always hear when a miracle happens). Their frail forms must be transformed into healthy, robust bodies. The transformation complete, they'd emerge WELL AGAIN. And that must be why I saw able-bodied drivers pulling out of those handicapped parking spaces. Who says miracles never happen these days?

Don't take my word for it. Go, see for yourself. Besides, real miracles need confirmation, don't they? Those of you with keen eyes and a sharp lookout can see exactly what I did because the miracle is happening everywhere you go these days. Go ahead, cruise through one of America's parking lots in search of this miracle. But when you do, don't keep this miraculous sighting all to yourself. SHARE your experience. Spread the good word.

The next time you witness the miracle of a perfectly able-bodied driver pulling out of a "Handicapped Parking" space, just shout out at the top of your lungs, "IT'S A MIRACLE". Be sure to yell loud enough so everyone in the parking lot can share your miraculous moment. And I'm sure the driver will also appreciate the recognition as the gathered crowd of on-lookers applauds the driver's miraculous transformation. Compliments are so hard to come by these days. So get out there and start cruising the parking lots today. Don't wait until these miraculous sighting become passé.
