Dr. David J. Demko, gerontologist and editor, AgeVenture™ Syndicated News Service Welcome to AgeVenture™, the internationally acclaimed news source for expert reporting on longevity research, retirement trends, and advances in medical science that help humans stay youthful longer.

AgeVenture™ News Service sets a new standard in age-based news reporting by uniting the strengths of award-winning journalism and superior academic credentials.

Editor-in-chief, Dr. David Demko is a University of Michigan doctoral graduate with additional certifications in gerontology, geriatics, and retirment planning.

Health, science, and medical news reports are based solely on peer-reviewed journals. Research data generated by commercial sources must be based on accepted standards of scientific inquiry.

As a result, our readers can rely on the integrity of AgeVenture™'s age-based news published in both academic and mass media markets. Also see AgeVenture™ Press for a collection of books authored by Professor Demko.

Civic groups have commended David's contributions to Aging America, Black History, Hispanic Heritage, student service and college governance. In 2004, Demko's public service record earned the prestigious Ronald Reagan Gold Medal Award.

In 1987, as founder and CEO of Florida's Senior Living Network, Demko created the groundwork for a gerontological publishing and communications syndicate, now known as AgeVenture™ Syndicated News Service. Launched in 1995, AgeVenture™ serves a global audience via newspaper, magazine, radio, and television placements.

An energetic philanthropist throughout South Florida, Dave served as an inaugural Leadership Team donor to the Miami-Dade Foundation, and participated in the United Way campaign as a Leadership Circle donor for six consecutive years.

Dr. Demko is the recipient of the "Distinguished Service" award from the American Association of University Professors, Honors Society Outstanding Professor of the Year, and is listed in "Who's Who Among America's Best College Teachers" and the “Directory of American Scholars”.

A self-styled gerontrepreneur, Dr. Demko directed Michigan's Delta College to national prominence in the field of aging in 1975 by innovating curriculum strategies heralded as the "Aging Education Continuum", a grand theory of educational gerontology.

By 1984, as Vice President of Florida's College of Boca Raton, Dr. Demko spearheaded that college's transition from a two-year school serving 400 students into a bachelor's and graduate degree granting institution serving over one thousand students. A foundation award of $4.3 million, orchestrated by Demko, supported the transition from community college to university status.
